Prevention
Prevention is better than cure!
It certainly is. You can avoid getting into debt. You do this by applying four rules of thumb. If you teach yourself these rules of thumb, you are much less likely to get into money trouble.
- Check your balance and expenses weekly
- Plan your income and expenses annually
- Save 10 percent of your income each month
- Save Your records in an orderly manner and keep track of them
- One-time: setting up administration
- Daily: opening (digital) mail
- Weekly: updating records and making payments
- Monthly: review details (with partner)
- Annual: clean up records thoroughly
